Securing the transport of passengers
With BREAKEE, for uncompromising security!
MÉLODIE
HSE Manager
"The Breakee undoubtedly improves passenger safety. We transport a lot of children throughout the year and obviously the problem of evacuation is always present. Installing an automatic device that is very easy to use will help everyone to evacuate. Our wish for this innovation is obviously that it should be installed and deployed in all vehicles in France, for the safety of all our passengers and to avoid tragedies."
PASCALE
Operational Director
"As a major player in mobility, we place people at the heart of innovation. To design ever-safer and more sustainable forms of mobility that meet the expectations of our passengers, we rely on the needs of passengers and on feedback from our teams on the ground. In this way, we give priority to concrete examples of use, with results that are just as concrete."
XAVIER
Technician
I was pleasantly surprised by the design of the pre-equipment kit. Everything has been designed to simplify installation: the structure is intuitive, well organised and really easy to use. Installation was straightforward. We were able to complete the entire assembly in just 1 hour.
CINDY
Driver
"As a driver, I think the Breakee is a great idea, because it allows children, the elderly and vulnerable people to look after themselves. It's much more suitable and much easier to use."
The emergency exit breaker
The solution to the new R107 !
Changes to UNECE Regulation No. 107
The 10 series of amendments to UN Regulation No. 107, which was ratified at the end of 2022, considerably strengthens the requirements applicable to mandatory equipment for evacuating public passenger transport vehicles in the event of incidents or accidents.
This new series of amendments applies to all vehicles in international categories M2 or M3 (TCP type in France).
Our BREAKEE system meets these new requirements applicable from:
- 1 September 2024, for all new vehicle types
- 1 September 2026, for all new vehicles
How it works
The Electronic Emergency exit breaker is positioned directly on all emergency exits. It is connected to a central remote-control system located in the driver's cab.
This central control system also ensures compliance with current regulations, such as the ban on opening emergency exits if the vehicle is going faster than 3 km/h.
To date, it is the only electromechanical device in the world capable of breaking coach windows in a controlled manner.

Making Transport Safer
In the Puisseguin tragedy that took place in October 2015, 43 people lost their lives in a coach accident. No emergency manual hammer could be used to break the windows and evacuate the vehicle.
In the weeks that followed, road safety stakeholders approached AGUILA to devise new solutions for evacuating people and smoke in the event of an accident.
